Constantia Kloof Commercial Property

Lying just south of Allen's Nek in the crook of Christian de Wet Road to the west of Johannesburg, Constantia Kloof is a small and quiet suburb that lies in an indentation of Constantia Ridge, hence its name. It borders the suburbs of Strubens Valley, Weltevreden Park and Helderkruin and is considered one of the more scenic and upmarket suburbs in the West Rand, especially within its boom-controlled area. Some of the best views over Johannesburg can be seen from the Constantia Kloof houses and apartments along Constantia Drive and Panorama Road.



The area has become very popular since the opening of the Clearwater shopping mall and the Silverstar Casino, as well as numerous commercial and office complexes in the area. Despite the busy development in Muldersdrift, Constantia Kloof manages to maintain its distinctive quiet. It continues to sit on the borders of Roodepoort, largely unaffected.

It's a pretty little suburb perched on the edge of Johannesburg close to two green belt escapes, the Kloofendal Nature Reserve and Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. Kloofendal in particular is one of the better kept secrets of the city and is seldom all that busy. It used to be that the journey along Hendrik Potgieter Road past Constantia Kloof towards Little Falls took one into the 'country' and the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens stood on the edge of town. Today Hendrik Potgieter is lined with townhouse complexes virtually all the way to the interesection with Paardekraal Road, where the road continues into the Magaliesberg.  The area is fast becoming a hive of activity and development, but has managed to avoid the perils of industrial and commercial saturation. Constantia Kloof property has much to offer the discerning business and family man.

Constantia Kloof is a very popular office node which is limited in expansion possibility due to surrounding residential areas. The Constantia Kloof office to let market is around 90% taken up and at a given point in time there is around 5000 sqm available due to tenant movement. Average office rental in the area is at around R110 per sqm. Residential property in Constantia Kloof continues to attract buyers and renters with Eagle Canyon being the estate of note on the West Rand.  

With so many retail outlets to choose from, one is not short of things to do. Clear Water Mall is just up the road, Northgate Dome is within 10 kilometres, and a little further afield the Cradle of Humankind provides a fascinating outing.
